EDraw Max is both a graphic design solution and flowchart software focusing on graphs, infographics, and diagrams. As a small business owner, you’ve undoubtedly come to appreciate how useful flowchart software can be, even if you initially thought you didn’t have a practical use for it. But, what about a more open-ended graphic tool with a wider range of applications and possibilities? That’s where EDraw Max comes in.
Features
Wide Range of Flowcharts: Do you need to create flowcharts and diagrams? EDraw Max offers a very intuitive point and click interface for Gantt charts, fault tree diagrams, UML, wiring plans, architectural diagrams, and much more. These are all standardized with colorful elements that are very easy to digest. Of course, the org flowchart compatibility and workflow planning are quite deep as well.
Advanced Layouts: You can easily lay out office space or other concerns like fire escape plans, entity relationship (ER) diagrams, and much more with EDraw Max. This space planning concept is actually pretty advanced. It’s an afterthought with a lot of these solutions but it’s fully realized here.
Miscellaneous Charts: If you need to create standard business charts, BPMN, P&ID, or value stream mapping, EDraw Max makes it quick and easy and allows the bringing in of other data for relevance.
General Graphics: Designing posters, maps, flyers, infographics, concept maps and business cards is just as intuitive with EDraw Max. Seeing an application fully realize these two sides so well is not something you often encounter. Short of illustration and advanced graphics processing, the general design capabilities of this solution are completely full-fledged.
Business Forms: Building a business form in a normal word processor is a bland and awkward affair. With EDraw Max, you can edit, share and export very attractive, comprehensive business forms. With HTML compatibility, you can even make them interactive and completely digital.
Data Visualization: With data import, you can easily visualize all sorts of data and logistics in a way everyone can readily digest. It’s automated, while providing you with full design control along the way.
Extensive Compatibility: Export your work across a wide range of standard format options including image formats, document formats, HTML, and more.
Collaboration and Sharing: It’s never been easier to work together and share information and work. EDraw Max is a modern solution that brings in parallelism, file compatibility, cloud support, and intuitive social functionality.
Comprehensive Templates: EDraw Max offers a lot of templates for a variety of purposes. You can create your own templates, back them up, and even share them readily.
Advanced UI: The UI of this solution is very familiar to anyone who’s worked with graphic design software or modern office software. You’ll feel right at home using this application, with minimal training.
Great Platform Support: While it’s not available for mobile platforms at the moment, EDraw Max is available for the three big desktop platforms: Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Your mixed-platform workspace will have no clashes with this. You don’t see this widespread compatibility with most non-SaaS solutions, so that’s pretty interesting.
Pricing
EDraw Max’s website lists their prices in a very clear way. They offer four different flavors of software: EDraw Max—which we looked at—and three lighter versions. These focus specifically on mind mapping, infographics, and org flowcharts.
It’s very reasonably priced, making it a viable solution for most business sizes, though startups may find it a bit prohibitive before they reach a 50-employee size. |
